'A Big Band Christmas Trilogy!' takes some of our most beloved carols and blends them with the sounds of big band jazz. A dark, solemn opening in Coventry Carol from the trombones sets the scene, before drifting off into the big band era with a homage to the great Benny Goodman in God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. After cooling things off a little with a warm, reflective interpretation of the alternative tune to Away in a Manger, we then conclude with the vibrant and colourful sounds of New Orleans with a 'carnival-esque' Holly & The Ivy.
